South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources


SECOG assists its members in applying for and administering grants and loans from the Board of Water and Natural Resources. The South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources' (DANR) Division of Financial and Technical Assistance provides staff for the board and conducts the technical and financial reviews of funding applications.

SECOG assists its members in applying for environmental funding including, but not limited to:

  • Drinking Water Funding
  • Sanitary & Storm Sewer Funding
  • Solid Waste Disposal & Recycling Funding
  • Watershed Restoration Funding
Application deadlines are listed below:

State Water Plan Flyer with water splashes. State Water Plan application deadlines; February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and October 1st
Flyer with water faucet. Drinking water, sanitary/storm sewer, and solid waste management facilities funding. Applications due January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st.
