Multi-use trails in the SECOG region can been funded with grants from the South Dakota Department of Transportation’s Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP).


DENR Project Assistance

SECOG assists member communities with funding water and wastewater projects through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).


Planning and Zoning Assistance

SECOG assists its members with planning and zoning to allow for orderly growth in the communities.



Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation Grant

The Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation awarded SECOG a $1,200 grant to create a transportation services directory. The directory will be distributed to various human service agencies in the Sioux Falls area to increase awareness of available transportation services.


TAP Funding Available

Approximately $2.1 million of Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) funding is available through SDDOT's competitive grant process. The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent is July 30, 2014. Please contact Kevin Burnison for additional information at 605-367-5390 or kevin@secog.org.

The Draft 2014 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) has been submitted to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and is pending approval.
